7 Last Minute Spring Break Getaways

Even though I won't have a traditional spring break this year, something tells me I'll be looking for a spring getaway soon. Luckily, Hunter and I have a trip to Savannah and Sea Island coming up in May to look forward to. I'm already scoping out what to pack and of course, where to eat. In the meantime, if you're looking for a getaway of your own, I have a round-up of 7 last minute spring break getaways:

Blackberry Farm Tennessee is a picturesque escape near the great smokey mountains. Located in a valley just before entering the national park, Blackberry Farm is a true luxury getaway. We loved our visit here, and it's perfect with or without kids.

I would be remiss not to include Charleston in a round-up of perfect spring break getaways since I've been to Charleston twice for spring break! I love visiting this town, even though I had never visited before the weekend we got engaged in 2013, I consider it one of my favorite destinations. Such a foodie town with much to see and do...mostly on foot! (P.S. I have a complete Charleston itinerary here).

In just a few short months, Highlands has made a name for itself on my destination radar. Just two hours from Atlanta, Highlands is a beautiful town perfect for a relaxing getaway. I love Highlands as a couples retreat, but it's an excellent spot for a girls getaway, too!

Mobile is a small town with a big heart and is a great destination for kids and adults. With not one, but two forts, a battleship, quaint squares, and an entertainment district that is starting to rival Bourbon Street, Mobile is a fantastic option for spring break...and did I mention the beach is just a short drive away?

Since Hunter and I are headed to Savannah in just a few months, I wanted to show it some love here. My friend Sara did an incredible round-up of all her favorite places, so I'll let you read about what makes Savannah so awesome here

Serenbe is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Atlanta and provides a great location for outdoor enthusiasts. There's a playhouse, horseback riding, and more. Check out Scoutmob before you go for deals happening in and around the town.

Ah, Watercolor. You can read about our past several visits to Watercolor on the blog. We've been going with Hunter's family for the past eight summers, and I'm delighted to head back down once again come July. This town is truly gorgeous and the homes are perfect for families or groups of friends. Head down, rent some bikes, watch the sunset at Bud and Alley's, then dip over to Redbar for dinner. Perfect.
