The Planner Series Pt. 1: The Start Planner

I love this time of year. No, I'm not talking about the summer heat (ew) or the longer days (yay), but rather, planner season! If you haven't noticed, planner season is in full force. From the release of our old favorites to a few new finds, planners are everywhere. Over the next few weeks, I'll be reviewing  a few different planners, showing you their ins and outs and telling you what I love about each one. Then, you'll be able to make an educated decision about which planner best fits your needs. Sound good?

I've had Start Planner's Fancy Pants and its accessories for a few weeks, and I've enjoyed it immensely for a few reasons. For one, the company was founded right here in Atlanta. In fact, my shipment came from my hometown (about half an hour north of the city). Another reason I've enjoyed the Start Planner so much is because it looks luxurious. It is housed in a leather binder with gold clips that keep your pages protected. It has a gold snap closure along with gold embossing. In so many words, it is top of the line, y'all.

The Fancy Pants Start Planner has a ton of great features, and because it's in a binder format, you can determine which features you want to use when. One of the first things I did when I got my planner was sift through the pages to decide what would work for me, and what I might want to skip. I left 3 months in my planner and put away the remaining months. I also pared down some of the other pages (I removed the grocery and finances section) and kept removing and adding until I got a planner perfect for me.

Bottom line: I love that the Fancy Pants Start Planner allows you flexibility to create a planner that works for you.

The Fancy Pants Start Planner has a ton of cute accessories too! From colorful washi tape and cheeky pencils to fun stickers and even industry-specific insert pages, this team as thought of it all. You won't be disappointed in this planner. There's room for appointments, goals, and even water-intake count right on every page. If you are the type of gal that loves a schedule and feeling accomplished, this planner is for you.

While there are tons of positives, I also wanted to point out a few things to be aware of. For one, this planner is dense. It includes a lot of information which is great for making a planner perfect for your needs, but I also found some of it to be overwhelming. And at $84 before accessories, the Fancy Pants Start Planner is definitely a commitment. However, you can rest assured that the quality is there and worth the high end price tag.

So what do you think? Is the Start Planner for you?

Stay tuned for more planner reviews coming soon!
