A Unique Gift for Moms

If you're anything like me, your mom probably doesn't ask for anything for Mother's Day. You might ask what she would like, and she'd probably say something like "oh nothing," or "just time spent with you," or something equally unhelpful. Trust me, I've gotten this response for years from my mom and now my mother-in-law.

Unfortunately, I'm here to tell you that they actually mean it. They don't really want anything, and they'd really rather just spend time with you. The good news is that I've got the perfect solution for you to cover the gift and the time-spent bases. Enter Candlefish Candle-Making Workshops.

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to try my hand at a Candlefish workshop, and the new Ponce City Market location in Atlanta was kind enough to host me and my mother in law. We spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon sniffing all of Candlefish's amazing signature scents, learning all about soy wax, and discussing the candle making process. Not only was it a great way to discover the Candlefish concept, but it was an awesome way to spend time with each other.

If you're looking for a unique gift for moms for Mother's Day, I definitely recommend a candle making class at Candlefish. Besides the fact that the price cannot be beat (you'll get two candles during the class), your mom will be elated to hang out with you. Win win!

Before you take your class, here are a few insider secrets:

1. It's BYOB or BYOF, so don't be afraid to bring some bubbles and snacks and make an afternoon out of it!

2. Partner up with your mom to determine two scents you both like. You'll create two candles of the same scent, but if you choose scents you both dig, you can swap candles and take home one of two different scents!

3. Plan to spend a little moola shopping. Buy your mom some candle accessories - like matches - or gift her with a surprise shopping spree for some of Candlefish's other offerings (their jewelry is too cute).

4. When you're done, continue exploring PCM. It might be time for another cocktail, after all!

Thanks so much to Candlefish for inviting me to take a class with my MIL. All opinions are my own.
