Today I want to share with you a fabulous event that's going on in Atlanta this weekend: the BTB Spring Pop-Up Shop benefiting Haven ATL. Chaired, organized, and exclusively styled by one-woman show, Mea, this event should definitely be on your weekend radar.
A few weeks ago, I went on a major spring cleaning spree in my closet. I bagged up 2 enormous bags for Goodwill (think industrial size, y'all), and gathered one very selective pile for Mea's event. I am thrilled to be a part of the event and have my closet shopped by attendees. On my rack you'll find never before worn outerwear from the likes of J.Crew, gently used dresses from Anthropologie, and a few designer accessories that I finally decided to part with. A few of these items riiiight here:
For me, this event isn't about making money off of my clothes whatsoever. It's about all about giving to Haven ATL. Haven is committed to serving women who have fallen victim to commercial sexual exploitation. Did you know that Atlanta ranks in the top 14 cities for trafficking? As shocking as it sounds, that statistic has nothing on the countless others. When reading them, I was left flabergasted, and cannot believe this is happening right under our noses. But thanks to Haven, something can be done to help these women. Through Haven's programs, women are able to participate in mentorships, life skills classes, and weekly Bible studies.
So take time out of your weekend to attend the Better than Borrowed Spring Pop-Up Shop! I'll be there shopping myself and signing up for some of the insane raffle items that Mea has rounded up from the likes of Kendra Scott and GlowDry. If you're in town, plan to stop by and say hello for this wonderful cause!
P.S. Today marks the official start of my Spring Break (at approximately 4:30 pm), and I'll be coming to you live from Charleston next week! Be sure to follow along on Instagram.
