Me oh my, I am in the middle of one crazy week! When life gets crazy, it reminds me to stop and notice the flowers. Last night I came home from work and got out my computer for a long night of work ahead of me. For those of you who don't know, I teach full time, do social media for a luxury shoe brand, am the webmaster for a photo stylist, do some freelance writing, and write this little blog on the side. So in a way, I am almost always working, but I kind of love it that way.
I started to sit down at my kitchen table (since we don't officially have a usable desk space...more on that later...), but then realized that I could easily move outside. Doing so immediately boosted my mood without me having to try too hard. Of course the sweatpants and t-shirt that I tossed on helped, too...as did a fabulous conversation with one of my favorite gal pals. The point is that it's often those times when you make a simple change that can really make a difference in your mood and attitude. Moving my workspace to my husband's Green Egg table and watching my dog run around my yard while working gave me the little energy boost I needed.
So when you can, stop and notice the flowers. Notice the little things around you that help keep you positive. Pay attention to your attitude and needs, so you can be more productive. And if all else fails, sit outside with a glass of vino and soak it all in! Whew. Thanks for letting me be real here for a little bit. Life's good, y'all.
P.S. I'm pretty proud of this picture. I snapped it in Charleston and no filter either! Boom.
Love this post and this picture is perfection. #nailedit :)
