Charleston Recap

Well y'all, I have to say that Spring Break 2015 was pretty epic. As you know, we spent a majority of our time in Charleston wining and dining our way through the city. Every day was a new adventure, and we enjoyed taking it all in. I tried my hardest to stay off of social media for the few days we were there, but with picturesque views like the ones below around every corner, I couldn't pass up Insta. Here's a quick recap of our trip with a few links, too. You never know when you might find yourself in Charleston and need some recommendations.

We rented an adorable studio apartment through VRBO. The little space was above an art gallery and came with a stocked kitchenette which was perfect for in room wine and cheese plates.

Like I said, the purpose of this trip was to eat our way around the city. For breakfasts we enjoyed Callie's Hot Little Biscuit and Glazed Donuts. For lunch we noshed at Poe's Tavern on Sullivan's Island and Butcher & Bee. And the drinks? Oh the drinks. We cocktail-houred our way to Husk Bar and Zero George. And we dined at The Ordinary, FIG, and Chez Nous. We also may or may not have rubbed shoulders with Darius Rucker at FIG...

While I enjoyed each and every one of our experiences, I have to say that my favorite restaurants of the trip were cocktails at Zero George and dinner at Chez Nous. The relaxed but historically Charleston atmospheres at both could not be beat.

Of course we did other things besides eat like visit neighboring Sullivan's Island, toured Drayton Hall, and walked countless miles throughout the streets of the city taking in all of the beautiful architecture. We also had a great time taking the bike cabs to and from dinner. Such a fabulous form of transportation! #bikecabselfie
