As you all know courtesy of the emails that are flooding your inbox, this is by far the biggest shopping weekend of the year. I don't know about y'all, but you won't find me standing in line at Target at 6 pm on Thanksgiving. Instead, you'll find me shopping from the comfort of my couch or holding out until Saturday when I can hit up some of my favorite small businesses. This year, I'm taking the guess work out of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday for you.
A few quick tips before we dive in:
1. Do not, I repeat, do not go to the mall. Everything you need from the mall can be delivered to you. You don't really want to get into that parking lot mess...or the lines...
2. Surf around to find the best prices, especially when you're shopping department stores. Department stores often have the same items, but offer different prices. And consider shipping! Flat rate or free is the way to go.
3. If you're not exactly sure who you're shopping for this season, grab a few "just in case" gifts that are perfect for anyone. My favorites? Cocktail napkins, candles, and festive champagne flutes.
4. Please, don't forget about small businesses. Small businesses are so important during the holiday season. They are truly living the American dream, and I absolutely love supporting their endeavors. Shop small this weekend!
