A Very Watercolor Vacation

Greetings from Watercolor in beautiful Seaside, Florida! We are here on our annual vacation and are soaking up sun, indulging in seafood, and sipping some stellar bloody marys. Follow me on Instagram while I'm here enjoying this quaint slice of Americana. You'll see a little bit of everything - from drinks and celebrations to picturesque beach shots. Come follow along

P.S. I really enjoyed this new Emily Giffin title as a read, but I still can't figure out how I felt about the story itself. Has anyone else read it yet? I keep going back and forth between the icky feeling and the feel good feeling. What did you think? Would love to know your thoughts!

  1. Enjoy your trip! I did not like the story. It was bizarre for me, because I like all of her other books.

    1. Katie, I 100% agree! I found myself being more than a little put-off by the blossoming relationship. It just didn't seem plausible or relate-able like her other tales. I enjoyed it as a beach read, though! It went by super fast.

  2. Happy Vacation, my friend! Interesting comment about the book. I haven't read it but we should discuss. Love all of her others! Cheers! :)

    1. Definitely read it and see what you think; I have to say that it's not one of my favorites (I think you'll quickly see why), but like all of her books, there's something about it that made me plow through quickly. Love a good read!

  3. Umm, definitely not one of my favorites of hers. Was obsessed with the others. As soon as I figured out where the book was headed I stopped reading. I need to pick it back up to actually finish. To put it bluntly with a bit of immaturity…. it grossed me out. HA! I just kept saying YUCK in my head.

    1. ME TOO!! I couldn't relate to it at all and had that icky feeling. I did finish it, though because I was curious about the Ryan James plot as well as whether Coach was all he was cracked up to be. I wish there had been a few meatier details about his squeaky clean reputation; I don't buy it. You should definitely finish it! Then we'll talk more :)
