Recent Beauty Obsessions

I am not a make-up girl. I wear the same eye-shadow during the day that I do at night; I don't use liquid foundation; I never wear lipstick. But, recently, I've been branching out a little more in this department, and I've found some products that I really love!

1. Garnier BB Cream: This stuff is like a one-stop shop foundation. It's tinted, moisturizer, AND sunscreen. It is the perfect base for adding a powder on top (like Bare Minerals Original). It is by far my favorite summer purchase. My make-up goes on smooth & it evens my skin tone. Awesome stuff.

2. Neutrogena Wave Sonic: I have read a lot about the Clarisonic, but that is such an investment that I couldn't pull the trigger. Enter the cheap, but sturdy and very good, Wave Sonic. I feel like my skin is so much cleaner - and I don't have a problem with dry skin at all anymore!

3. Revlon Lip Butter: If you ever went through the SoftLips phase, then this lipstick is for you! It is smooth and thin, and the colors are beautiful. The best part is that it leaves your lips super soft; not sticky like some sticks tend to do. Invest in this $7 tube; trust me.

4. Blinc Mascara: Birchbox is such a great way to get introduced to new products. I got a tube of Blinc in my very first Birchbox and loved it so much, I had to buy it immediately. It is the best mascara I've ever used not just because it covers your lashes completely, but because it comes off in tubes, not flakes. I never get clumps or mascara residue around my eyes. Love it.

5. Benefit High Beam: I've had a sample of this product for over a year, and it is by far my favorite make-up I have ever had. I finally bit the bullet and got the full size last week, and I have used it every day since. The description recommends putting it on your cheekbones & eyebrow line as a highlighter, but I've been using it as an all over eye-shadow for an easy daytime look. It is soft and pretty - quite feminine!
