1. Downtown Atlanta Ghost Tours: I am so excited that my friends scooped up the Groupon for this for a birthday outing for me. The tour is a walking tour that starts at the Ellis Hotel downtown, and it promises to walk you near some "haunted" sights. I can't wait!
2. Run Like Hell 5k: Oakland Cemetery is one of Atlanta's hidden historical gems that everyone should visit. Instead of taking a guided tour, guide yourself through the grounds during the 4th Annual 5k on October 22nd. It'll be my first race other than the Peachtree.

4. Apple Picking: One of my favorite family outings growing up was going to Ellijay to pick apples. It's a great throw-back activity. Sip some cider while you're there, and maybe stop at Burt's on the way...if you can get through the traffic.
5. Three Sheets Wine & Grilled Cheese Tasting: I first heard about this wine-o-Wednesday about a year ago and have been dying to go ever since. Unfortunately, it only happens on Wednesdays (once a month!), but what's more fall than a classic grilled cheese? Their next event is October 19th.

7. The Bert Show's Big Wicked: This is supposed to be one of the best Halloween parties in Atlanta. Go if you dare! Tickets onsale now.
8. Scoutmob's Halloween at the Ghost Farm: I've been dying to go to the Goat Farm ever since I heard about it. The Goat Farm is basically a dilapidated, empty warehouse/outdoor space on the Westside that is able to be rented. This sounds like a seriously stellar party, and it would be my number one choice for Halloween. Get all the scoop from the Scoutmob website over the next few weeks! Tickets onsale October 19th.
Let me know if you have other equally fun or spectacularly spooky & spine-tingling fall activities to share, and please, invite me along!
Happy October, everyone :)
