Let me start by saying first and foremost: teachers appreciate ALL gifts. We definitely don't expect to get anything at the end of the school year, and we definitely love the thought behind each and every gift that a student gives. Whether it's a hand written note (my personal favorite) or a mason jar of baked goods, we appreciate it!
But, when my friend Meghan reached out to me for some teacher's gift ideas, I thought it was time to resurrect the subject. First of all, I love love love that everyone loves loves loves to bake their teachers something delicious from their kitchen. But think about it: if you had the brilliant idea for cookies, so did at least five other kids...and five more thought of brownies...and five more thought of zucchini bread. That's a lot of baked goods for your dear, sweet, tryingtostayhealthy teacher to consume. Try to avoid the baked goods. Instead, here are a few ideas that your kids' teachers will love that won't break the bank or the diet!
BAGGU reusable tote / MERCI card (aka. a handwritten note!) / ZOKU slushy maker / SUGAR PAPER cheers coasters / LIBRARY OF FLOWERS candle / DESIGN DARLING hustle notepad
The key to the perfect gift: thoughtful yet useful! And when all else fails...who doesn't love a cheeky $5 gift card?
As a teacher, I would LOVE any of those gifts.
ReplyDeletegreat ideas!
ReplyDeleteOur school ended up sending out a list of our teachers favorite colors and treats which was so helpful!
ReplyDeleteUmm let's talk about that slushy cup though - I feel like it would make a mean cocktail shaker (daiquiris anyone?!). Good find.
These are great ideas.
