A few years ago, we associated words like organic and sustainability with, let's face it, granola-esque clothing. You know, rubbery sandals and cotton tee-shirts. However, in recent years, there has been a push by retailers and designers alike to band together and present the fashion industry with more than faux fur and vintage finds. A few months ago, Forbes published "Stylish and Sustainable: How Brands are Getting It Right." The article focuses on small businesses that are taking sustainability to the next level: the fashionable level. Consumers no longer have to sacrifice style for eco-friendly products.
So, how can you do your part to support other sustainable businesses and reduce your own carbon footprint? Well, might I recommend that you start with your favorite pair of Julie Bee's. Add a classic jean and top it off with a spring tee and a pair of shades. Chic. Stylish. Sustainable.
