Monday, My Day

After the success of last week's post, I've decided to keep up Monday, My Day. I just love the idea of kicking off the week with some happiness here and there.

First things first, I've decided that blogging is hindering my vocabulary a bit - I end up using words like "love," "fabulous," and "amazing," so much that I forget about all the other wonderful words there are out there. I'm adding a Wordly Wise component to Monday, My Day this week. Allow me to remind you of the very cool, often overlooked, and always necessary word: penchant.

Now that you've been enlightened & have dusted off the vocabulary recesses of your brain, it's time for a few more fun things:

Last week I tested my gold foiling skills following this really easy tutorial. Now that I've figured it out, I feel like nothing is safe from gold foiling. Look for some of my creations on the blog soon!

Mamas with iPads/iPhones, listen up because I'm about to give you hours of entertainment for your kiddos. Are you ready for this? Meet the colAR app. Print off a coloring sheet from your home computer, hand your kids a bucket of crayons or colored pencils, scan the completed masterpiece with your device's camera, and watch it come to life before your eyes. Oh, and it's free. You. Are. Welcome.

The latest issue of Southern Weddings is out, and I have to say that it is hands down my favorite issue of the magazine ever. For all of you that are already married and feel weird buying a wedding magazine, fret not! This issue is all about marriage which is often over looked when getting caught up in the big day hullabaloo.

And finally, as the holidays approach, and we get more and more stretched for time, all of those DIY plans start to pile up and just take up room on a Pinterest board. Let Revelry House do the party decor and planning for you. Purchase a party box which includes everything from a playlist to a sample and suggested menu. Done & done!

Happy MONday!

  1. Can I borrow your issue of Southern Weddings? It's important to remember the goal of the wedding day is to actually start your marriage with the person you are choosing to marry...not freak out over centerpieces and whose hem is 1/2 inch too short! As we are both approach, it sounds like a great read.
